Indiana Fever rookie star Caitlin Clark has caused a hysterical stir on social media after delivering a controversial take on hot dogs.
The Fever posted a video of Caitlin Clark and several of her teammates being asked to name “the most questionable food combo.” Katie Lou Samuelson said macaroni and cheese with ketchup before Clark stated, “Mayo on hot dogs, you know who you are.”
As you would expect, Clark’s interesting take on this popular food combination led to plenty of hilarious responses from fans:
Several fans pointed out that Caitlin Clark’s “You know who you are” comment was a reference to her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery. Apparently, mayonnaise on hot dogs is one of his favorite food combos.
Clark and the Fever are in the third week of their mid-season Olympic break. They lost their last game to Dallas on July 17 by a final score of 101-93, dropping Indiana to 11-15 on the season.
The Fever haven’t qualified for the postseason since 2016, and they haven’t finished above .500 since 2015. But Clark has Indiana (currently the No. 7 seed) in a good spot to finally end the postseason drought this year, as they’re three games clear on the ninth-seeded Atlanta Dream.
Indiana’s playoff hopes looked doomed early when they lost eight of their first nine games, but a surge in the month of June launched them right back into the playoff race. Barring a brutal late-season collapse, Fever fans will finally get to enjoy the return of playoff basketball.
Caitlin Clark Is Having A Historic Rookie SeasonThe first overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft has certainly come as advertised, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game. At this time, it’s safe to say that Clark will run away with WNBA Rookie of the Year honors.
Clark has been everything the Fever could have dreamed of, not to mention how much of a role she has played in increasing television ratings and ticket and merchandise sales.
Team GB have Olympic silver medal taken off them after dramatic review from officials (an)
Team GB lost their silver medal after a review.
Team GB were demoted to bronze during the mixed triathlon event at the Paris Olympics.
Heading into the race, the Team GB quartet of Alex Yee, Georgia Taylor-Brown, Samuel Dickinson and Beth Potter were one of the favourites to clinch gold.
Team GB also won the event three years ago at the Tokyo Olympics.
Having already won the gold in the individual event, Yee gave his team the perfect start as he handed over to Taylor-Brown in the lead.
Taylor-Brown was then caught by Germany’s Lisa Tertsch before Dickinson produced a fine leg to regain Team GB’s lead.
Heading into the final stages, Potter was neck and neck with Germany’s Laura Lindemann and Taylor Knibb of Team USA.
Eventually, Lindemann crossed the line first as Potter and Knibb shared a photo finish.
Initially, Team GB were awarded the silver medal but after a review by the race officials, it was revealed that Team USA had finished in second place, with the Brits demoted to the bronze medal position.
Former triathlete Annie Potter said on BBC TV: “I really don’t think Beth Potter could have given any more.
“I just think the fatigue from winning the bronze medal in the individual was too much for her. You could see how fatigued she was when she crossed the line.”

British Triathlon performance director Mike Cavendish said: “We thought it was sliver, the display showed it was silver. The judges will look at a video still, that isn’t great to go off. When it’s come to the official photo finish, America were just ahead of us.
“It’s very rare that it goes to a photo finish. I’m still so proud they got a bronze, it’s just a brilliant advert for our sport.”
When asked if the team will appeal the result, Cavendish added: “[No] I’ve seen the photo, when you zoom in, it’s relatively clear.
“We didn’t come into the race as favourites, we were probably third favourites. America have muscled there way in, we can’t be disappointed with a bronze.”
Noah Lyles had the coldest response when asked if he’ll ever beat Usain Bolt’s 200m world record (an)
Noah Lyles is confident he has what it takes to smash Usain Bolt’s long-standing 200m world record after already winning gold at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The 27-year-old was in fine form as he dashed home to win the 100m men’s gold medal on Sunday, and is now eyeing further success in Paris.
Lyles is expected to cruise through the 200m heats on Monday, with the semi-finals to take place on Wednesday with the final the following day.
And the American has already issued a bold message regarding Bolt’s world record of 19.19 seconds that has now stood for almost 15 years.
Speaking in 2023, Lyles said: “I know that I’m going to break it.
“The second most-popular, favourite hobby of humans − after watching somebody achieve greatness − is watching them fail.
“People love to watch people fail. They just do. I don’t know why.
“It’s just if somebody says they want to do something great, someone’s right there next to say they can’t do it.
“I can give zero cares about what other people think.
“Because they don’t know me, they don’t know my story, they don’t know what I do, they don’t know how hard I work, how talented I am. But I know.”

Lyles has had to wait patiently for his time in the spotlight but is notable now for his swagger and confidence.
The US star has yet to lose a 200-metre race in the two years since he finished a disappointing third at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.
Of the 10 fastest 200-metre times in the world since the Tokyo games three years ago, he has run eight of them.
“I’m going to motivate myself regardless,” Lyles added.
“I’m going to win regardless.
“I didn’t need a rival at worlds to run 19.3, because there was nobody close to me when that happened.”
Lyles’ closest attempt at breaking Bolt’s long standing record, set at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, is 19.31 – a US record which he set in Eugene in 2022.
